Clinical Trials

The SELECT trial will determine the effectiveness of two widely used compounds - Vitamin E and Selenium - in the prevention of prostate cancer, and will follow healthy men over a seven-to-twelve year study period.

A second study, the Study of Tamoxifen and Raloxifene (STAR) is a five-year trial to determine the effectiveness of these compounds in preventing breast cancer in high risk women.

In addition, the Cancer Center belongs to the ECOG, NSABP, SWOG Cooperative groups, which are treatment clinical trials, and is affiliated with the Hackensack University Medical Center through the CCOP.
