Dr. Clarissa Febles Henson, Chairman, Radiation Oncology, brings a highly regarded
reputation and expertise to provide expanded radiotherapy capabilities to
Comprehensive Cancer Center's nationally rated radiation oncology program.
Dr. Henson is board certified and served as the Director of Women's Services
at Cooper University Hospital's Department of Radiation Oncology and most
recently as a radiation oncologist at Monmouth Medical Center. Dr. Henson
has first-authored five publications including one book chapter and has
presented abstracts at both national and international radiation oncology
meetings. Dr. Henson has an outstanding resume of clinical accomplishments,
including clinical trial research utilizing Intensity Modulated Radiation
Therapy in the treatment of gynecologic cancers. She also has specialized
training and experience in the latest radiotherapy technologies including
Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, high- and low-dose rate Brachytherapy
for Gynecologic and Prostate Cancer, Mammosite Brachytherapy for partial
breast irradiation and Stereotactic Radiosurgery for the treatment of CNS
tumors and trigeminal neuralgia.
Dr. Henson received the A. Robert Kagan Fellowship in Palliative Care from
the American College of Radiation Oncology and has been recognized by the
Hispanic American Medical Association of New Jersey for her outstanding
medical achievements.
Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Henson can offer patients bilingual care and
treatment.
