William W. Kessler, M.D., is Division Chief of Oncology at the new
Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center in Elizabeth, NJ. He previously chaired
the oncology department at Trinitas Hospital, a position he held since 1985.
He is board certified in internal medicine and hematology.
In his current position at Trinitas Hospital, Dr. Kessler chairs the cancer
committee, assures compliance with the American College of Surgeons'
standards for maintaining the hospital's approval as a comprehensive cancer
center and teaches oncology residents, among other responsibilities.
A native of Vermont, Dr. Kessler is a graduate of Columbia College in New
York and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY.
Dr. Kessler completed residencies in internal medicine at New York
College-Metropolitan Hospital and at the College of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey-East Orange Veterans Administration Hospital, where he
subsequently completed a fellowship in hematology-oncology.
