"Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center is among the top in the nation…
specifically scoring in the top five percent in the hospital web site
category. It was an honor to have Trinitas Cancer Center participate in the
2008 Aster Awards," said Melinda R. Lucas, Aster Awards Program Coordinator.
"They exceeded the judges' expectations."
Trinitas CCC continually solicits input from their clinical staff and
patients to make sure the web site is a timely, informative, easy-to-use and
meaningful resource to patients with cancer and to the community.
"We partnered with John Mazurkiewicz of Mazmania Creative Services and Dave
Hofbauer of Fly On the Wall Advertising because they had demonstrated
tremendous ability at creating award-winning healthcare web sites for
Trinitas," said Ron Sohn, Director of Program Planning for Trinitas CCC.
"Our web site is simply an extension of the talented and compassionate
people here at Trinitas and a reflection of the needs of our patients. We
also made sure our website was available in both English and Spanish so that
we could reach the greatest majority of our community."
The Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center has also earned top-ranked patient
satisfaction scores that ranks the quality of each patients' experience
among the very highest in the nation.
In addition, Trinitas Regional Medical Center and Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center
earned the 2007 Award of Merit by the New Jersey Chapter of the
International Association of Business Communicators (NJ/IABC) for their
HealthyEdge quarterly consumer magazine for readers in Union County which
has featured exclusive interviews with international recording artist Gloria
Gaynor, actors and activists Elisabeth and Andrew Shue, noted suspense
writer Mary Higgins Clark, and "ABC News 20/20" correspondent Bob Brown.
Of the Award of Merit, Ron Sohn said, "When we introduced HealthyEdge in
2007 we knew it had distinct value for members of our community as an
educational resource about important health care topics and informative
articles highlighting the outstanding services and programs at Trinitas.
This recognition from peers validates our belief in the magazine's worth to
our readers."
