Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center Scores Big in Press Ganey Patient
Satisfaction Survey
Earns Multiple #1 Rankings
In only a little more than a year since its opening, TCCC is pleased to
report remarkable results in patient satisfaction. After earning 14 #1
rankings on the 52 different Press Ganey survey questions for the last
quarter of 2006, where it scored #1 in all 5 nursing related questions, for
the first quarter of 2007, TCCC earned a total of 16 #1 ranking s– this time
with #1 rankings in all eight radiation oncology survey questions. Other #1
rankings for Q1-07 include the Pharmacy, Social Work, Nutrition, and
Pain/Symptom Management questions. These rankings are from the Aptium Custom
Peer Group that includes 63 cancer facilities across the country. In all,
TCCC was in the top 10% in 29 of 52 survey questions and exceeded the peer
group averages for 83% of all patient satisfaction parameters measured.
TCCC attributes these overwhelmingly positive results to the
patient-centered culture that guides each team member's daily mission. "Our
terrific non-clinical staff provides the support necessary for clinicians to
achieve patient service excellence," said Jeanette Barefoot, Director of
Clinical Services at TCCC. "We are exceedingly proud of our performance on
so many parameters that are vitally important to our patients."
